The bet
Subscription AI turned everything into a metered cloud call. I think a large share of that work belongs on the device — private, offline, zero per-token cost — and that the hard, durable engineering is the runtime layer that makes on-device LLMs actually shippable. So I'm building it in the open: litertlm-kmp + NativeLM. The engine is the asset; the app is the proof.
Experience
Building on-device AI infrastructure: litertlm-kmp — a Kotlin Multiplatform engine for running Gemma-class LLMs locally — and NativeLM, a private local-AI chat app on top of it.
Airtel Xstream Play (IPTV) on Android TV / STB. Built the Electronic Program Guide and OTA update system, and a stale-while-revalidate “Smart PagingSource” that fixed Paging 3 limits + IO chokepoints on low-end (2 GB) devices. Led the migration to Jetpack Compose + Clean Architecture — −30% unit-test time, +25% Xstream playback stability. Adopted AI-assisted workflows (Copilot, LLM prompting) for +20% sprint velocity.
Secure financial modules for the TataNeu super-app (Credit Line, Personal Loan) — biometric auth + KYC (Karza, E-KYC) under banking-security compliance.
Consumer apps for Maruti Suzuki (Rewards, True Value).
Core app features for IoT systems — direct integration with BLE hardware, printers, and connected devices.
A location-based services discovery app.
